Abigail Miller, M.A. is a Masters level therapist currently working on obtaining credentialing as a Associate Professional Counselor. In addition, she is also working on certification as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). She graduated from Lancaster Bible College and Graduate School with a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling in 2007. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Columbia International University. She is originally from Maryland, but has lived in South Korea and Lebanon, where she was an elementary school teacher and Kenya, Africa where she was a therapist.

Abigail worked as an intern in Maryland at a community health agency in their school-based program. Following this, she went to Kenya where she worked as a counselor-in-residence at an international boarding school for a number of years and then at a nongovernmental organization for girls who were rescued from human trafficking. In Georgia, Abigail began working for a community health agency in 2019. Abigail has worked with children as young as 3 years of age to elderly adults in individual sessions, family sessions, and groups.

Abigail is passionate about seeing people heal, grow, and thrive in their daily lives. She uses a focus centered approach with each client to encourage and support them in their healing journey. She has worked extensively with clients who have had depression, anxiety, trauma such as abuse and neglect and from a variety of countries and cultures. She loves doing life with and walking along beside her clients in the therapy setting so that they can go out into their world and live life abundantly. She believes that there is always hope and that change is possible. She is so excited to be at Thrive Counseling Center and cannot wait to meet you!

Ms. Miller works under the Direction of Olivia Prewett-Scott & the Clinical Supervision of Brandy Rogers, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S while at Thrive.
