Adrienne Achille, MA, LAPC, NCC, graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Play Therapy. Adrienne has successfully completed the requirements to become a Nationally Certified Counselor and an Associate Professional Counselor in Georgia. Adrienne believes in providing a warm, safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients are able to openly express themselves.

Adrienne has worked with children and adolescents in multiple setting. She has much experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Downs Syndrome from coaching Special Olympics gymnastics and working as a teacher at Jacobs Ladder Neurodevelopmental Therapy Center. Adrienne has clinical experience working with children in day treatment, intensive-in-home, and school-based outpatient services. Her training as an intern gave her experience working with individuals with a variety of different challenges (i.e. aggression, mood disorders, self-harming behaviors, trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and LGBTQ issues).

Adrienne practices from a client-centered approach in which she fosters a strong therapeutic relationship by providing empathy and acceptance. Through the use of play, expressive arts, and the traditional talk therapy, Adrienne will assist clients in reaching goals and moving toward wellness. Adrienne works with all ages but specializes in children and adolescents. Adrienne has extensive training and experience in Play Therapy and Filial Therapy. She is currently pursuing her Registered Play Therapy certification. Adrienne believes that every individual is capable of moving toward his or her best self but sometimes life’s challenges block the way. Adrienne will work collaboratively with the client and client’s family to provide the best possible assistance in navigating these challenges and attaining goals.

Adrienne believes in empowering clients by helping them discover the tools within themselves.
