Kieara Williams, MSW is a trained and experienced masters level social worker who obtained her cum laude degree through an advanced level program at Southern Adventist University. Kieara is currently undergoing clinical practice to sit for licensure.

Kieara is an ideal therapist whose primary goal is to build a solid relationship with children and adolescents to help them learn solutions to their problems. Her approach is warm, interactive, and accepting. Kieara dedication to her clients can be seen through her commitment at providing immediately feedback, tasks to focus on between sessions and tools to learn coping skills.

For 8 years, Kieara have worked extensively with children and adolescents facing anxiety, depression, PTSD, family conflict, self-esteem, peer relationships separation, attachment disorder and concerns/loss bereavement in a variety of settings.

Prior to joining Thrive Counseling, Kieara worked as a lead investigator at the Department of Family and Children Services. Kieara main duties were providing one-on-one face contact to the children and parents to help strengthen their family dynamic, encourage and educate family best practice, and advocate to ensure each family basic needs were met. Kieara actively focused on the protection of the children who faced domestic violence in one’s surrounding, trauma and minors who were abused or neglected. Kieara’s agency partnered with the justice system to ensure the children or adolescent she worked with had a safe environment where they were able to gain stability in their lives. Kieara also worked as a substance abuse counselor at Pinnacle Behavior Health as an intern. In that setting, her obligations were to help clients obtain or sustain sobriety. Kieara is very equipped to handle a vast caseload and efficiently providing support to each client. Kieara was able to help clients explore complex avenues in order to THRIVE and become better individuals for their families.

Kieara firmly believes this is without a doubt the right career for her. She is very passionate about working with children and their families and she feels that she has a special place in her heart for helping others cope with each difficulty as they arise.
