Lisa Glass, M.A., is currently pursuing a Masters of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of West Georgia. Lisa’s main focus is on encouraging authenticity in her clients and striving to create a safe space in which she and her clients can foster a trusting and therapeutic relationship.

Prior to interning at Thrive Counseling, Lisa worked as an undergraduate intern at the Atlanta Center for Eating Disorders and completed her clinical practicum at Art It Out Therapy Center as a Master’s student. As a practicum intern at Art It Out, Lisa facilitated several social skills groups for children, as well as a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills group for teens. In addition, she worked with children and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, body image, LGBTQ+ issues, and self-esteem. As an undergraduate intern at the Atlanta Center for Eating Disorders, Lisa was able to gain clinical experience working with clients grappling with various eating disorders and related issues, including anorexia, bulimia, compulsive overeating, body image, and body dysmorphic disorder.

Upon completion of her degree, Lisa will begin pursuing Registered Play Therapist certification, and is currently a member of several professional organizations including the American Counseling Association, Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia, International Association of Eating Disorders, and Chi Sigma Iota.
